As in many other problematic situations, the best way to avoid asthma from happening, is to avoid its causes. In many cases, asthma is triggered by an outside factor such as dust, pets or smoking. In other cases Asthma is triggered by an emotional state such as stress or anxiety. In all cases, the best way to handle the situation is to make the effort to avoid the triggering factor all together. There are many kinds of treatment to Asthma and they can be divided into 3 classes: relievers, preventers and emergency treatment. This treatment is reported to be successful by many Asthma patients, though an official research that was doe in this subject found no evidence that this is an effective method for treating Asthma.

2. Homeopathy - This method has some success with Asthma patients, and was found to be reducing symptom intensity, in a controlled experiment that was conducted in 1998.

3. Air ionisers - This method is used to relieve people with all sorts of lung and breathing problems. However, researchers have found no proof of significant improvement in patient's status.

5. The Buteyko method - a Russian therapy that is based on breathing exercises was tested in a controlled trial of just 39 patients in 1998.
